Fender Telecaster - Blonde
This guitar has very special meaning to me. If you take a look at the picture of me when I was 15 years old (under the “Background” section of this website) you’ll see me with my very first guitar – a pre-CBS blonde Telecaster. I loved that guitar only because it was my first guitar; other than that I hated it because it wasn’t “rock” enough for me…it was a “country” guitar. I wanted to be Jimi Hendrix and instead I was Hank Williams. So I got rid of it by trading it in for a white ’69 Stratocaster, which I still own today. But as my musical tastes have matured, I’ve fallen in love with Telecasters and long to own my first guitar again. The reason why this guitar is so special is because one my closest and dearest friends, Ron Bienstock (a music entertainment attorney and great bass player) and his wife Lisa, bought me this guitar for my 49th birthday…wow…I can’t wait to turn 50. Ron and Lisa, I love you…and send more gifts.
