A few years ago I was at a NAMM Trade Show and was
introduced to a very cool lady named Tish Ciravolo by my best friend and music industry attorney Ron Bienstock. Tish had
started a company called "Daisy Rock Guitars" which manufactured and distributed electric and acoustic guitars made
especially for girls. I tried out some of Tish's guitars and was immediately taken back by 3 things: (1) they looked and
played great, (2) they weren't expensive at all, and (3) they may have been made for girls, but I knew a lot of guys who
would love to be playing these guitars. Tish's husband, Michael, is President of Schecter Guitars and undoubtedly had some
influence on how and where these guitars were built, as Tish was operating her company as a division of Schecter. But Tish
had some bigger, more innovative ideas for Daisy Rock and wanted to find an industry partner to help bring her company to
that next level. Right about the time I met Tish, she met Ron Manus of Alfred Publishing who became her partner and helped
reorganize Daisy Rock into the powerhouse it is today. I was fortunate to be asked to become their accountant, and shortly
thereafter was given the opportunity to pick out any guitar I wanted as thanks from Tish and Ron. I always wanted a
semi-hollow body electric 12-string, which is why I picked out this red/brown sunburst guitar. Needless to say, it plays,
looks and sounds great. Thanks Tish and Ron; you guys rock! |
